Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to sing and play music in the early years with her mother. She received more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She sang in Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. After moving into the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. She is passionate about the performing arts, music, and the arts keep active in community projects for both an artist as well as a instructor. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor in The Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations, for keeping this music vibrant.
